EMS Workers Injured in IL Ambulance Rollover Crash

A Rockford Fire Department ambulance was responding to an emergency with its lights and siren on when it was struck by another vehicle, injuring two crew members.

Two Illinois EMS workers were injured when their ambulance was struck by another vehicle Monday.

The accident happened while a Rockford Fire Department ambulance was responding to a call with its lights and sirens on, according to the department. That's when another vehicle collided with the unit.

Two EMS workers suffered minor injuries in the crash and were taken to the hospital. The driver of the other vehicle also was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
